Work experience is often your first time to see how lawyers and a law firm function in real life, and to give you an opportunity to gain an insight into what working as a solicitor is like on a day-to-day basis.
Our Vacation Scheme is designed to help you develop your skills as you begin to navigate these early stages of your career.
Warners is committed to nurturing the next generation of legal talent. We offer one week’s work experience for 4 students every year. Our program is designed to provide you with hands-on exposure to the legal profession.
During your time here our current trainee solicitors will act as your Buddy and will be available throughout the week to answer any queries.
You will spend each day in a different team across both our Tonbridge and Sevenoaks offices, meeting new lawyers and gaining experience of new areas of law each day. You will have the opportunity to participate in client meetings, assist with case preparation and conduct legal research and in the process receive guidance and support from experienced legal professionals.
We expect to offer experience in the following teams:
Anyone in their penultimate or final year of a law degree, final year of a non-law degree or graduates.
Individuals who are passionate about the law with a desire to learn and develop in a professional setting. Ideally you will have strong analytical and research skills as well as a proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative in a fast-moving environment.
This June, we were joined by four students for our Summer Vacation Scheme. They were given the invaluable opportunity to immerse themselves in the daily workings of Warners, shadowing our current trainee solicitors and spending time with a variety of teams across the firm.
