Profile

Lisa is an Associate in the litigation team. Prior to joining Warners, Lisa trained and qualified in London before working locally in Kent.

Lisa is an experienced litigator and advises on a wide range of civil and commercial litigation matters. She has a particular specialism in estate and probate disputes, Inheritance Act claims and co-ownership disputes.

Lisa also regularly acts for clients in professional negligence claims and property-related disputes.

She has experience in the County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.

Experience

  • Acted for the executor and sole beneficiary of his mother’s estate in a claim pursued by his brother for reasonable financial provision from the estate.
  • Acted for executor of estate in contentious probate proceedings to obtain a Grant of probate in solemn form after a trial on written evidence.
  • Acted for beneficiary in an application to remove an executor who was failing to take steps to administer the estate of his mother.
  • Acted for executors of an estate in an application to the court for directions and / or authority to distribute the estate where claims against the estate, including those against the validity of the will had been intimated, but not pursued.
  • Acted for a Claimant in a professional negligence claim against his previous solicitors and Counsel where proceedings had been issued against the wrong Defendant.
  • Acted for Claimant in co-ownership dispute in proceedings seeking a declaration from the court as to her share in the property.
  • Acted for Landlords in First Tier Tribunal proceedings relating to unpaid service charges.
  • Acted for building company in breach of contract claim relating to alleged substandard works.
