Profile

Charles is a partner in the Family Law team. Charles joined Warners in 2011 and was promoted to partner in 2016. In 2022, after spending some time at another law firm in East Sussex, Charles returned to Warners.

Charles specialises in financial and children disputes that come about following the breakdown of a relationship. Many of those disputes arise during or following the divorce process, of which Charles has a great deal of experience.

Charles recognises how difficult it can be to leave a relationship with dignity and he is committed to finding pragmatic and constructive solutions. Charles works with clients to achieve a fair outcome.

Whilst Charles embraces mediation and other non-adversarial solutions; he is an experienced litigator.

Charles enjoys advocacy and frequently appears in the local family courts and at the Central Family Court in central London. During the time that Charles has worked in family law, he has represented a wide variety of clients from different backgrounds.

In 2024, Charles qualified as an arbitrator (financial scheme). Charles is conscious of the strain that the court system is under and is convinced that arbitration represents a cost effective and speedy alternative to the court process. Charles considers that his experience of practice in Kent and Sussex leaves him well placed to offer a pragmatic and fair arbitration process for those that need it.

Thank you!

Very patient and understanding of my lack of internet skills. A difficult divorce for a multitude of reasons. The outcome being that my family will emotionally benefit greatly from divorced parents that are still friendly towards each other. Which ultimately was my brief.
