Warners is celebrating another successful set of rankings in the well-known guides to the legal profession, Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.
For the third time Warners’ agricultural team has been ranked in Band 1 in both directories. Chambers & Partners reported that “the team is friendly, professional and efficient.” A source remarked that team leader, Steve Colville “is very good,” explaining: “He is a well-practised lawyer and you are going to get on with him. He is a good operator.”
Once again, Warners’ family team has been ranked highly in both directories with Chambers describing it as “a skilled, multi-talented team working with cross-border clients on financial remedies and Children Act proceedings.” A client comments: “I experienced a high level of customer service throughout my dealings with the firm and any issues or problems I had were dealt with efficiently and expeditiously.” One of, team leader, Matthew Aves‘ client’s reports: “One of Matthew’s greatest strengths was to listen to me as his client, taking the time to get to know me, understand the complexities of my particular situation and provide sound advice with judgement.”
Warners’ corporate team was highlighted in both directories. Legal 500 noted that “Kevin Sullivan has an established track record acting for clients in the IT/technology sectors, and more broadly the team also services clients in areas such as education and agriculture.” Whilst Chambers reports that the team is “held in particularly high esteem for its representation of owner and family-managed businesses and SMEs across the region.” One client commented, “they are absolutely brilliant” and cite the team’s “eye for detail” as a key strength.
Earlier in the year, the private client team maintained its excellent ranking in the Chambers HNW Guide. Mary Shaw, Gail Hall and Philip Raggett were all highlighted as ‘Notable Practitioners’ with clients saying the following:
“I’ve found Gail to be extremely professional, kind and compassionate,”
“Mary was very competent and was able to provide sound advice on some quite complex areas. She was always on time and was able to quickly turn around work.”
“I am impressed with Phillip’s knowledge of trust law and his wealth of experience.”
Legal 500 also ranked the team very highly and said, “the team at Warners Solicitors offers a comprehensive range of specialisms; estate planning, tax, trust creation and administration and elderly client services.”
Martin Terrell, from The Court of Protection team, has once again been ranked in the top tier, in both directories, for the whole of the UK. Chambers describe Martin as “a highly respected Court of Protection lawyer with extensive expertise in a range of property and affairs matters, including financial abuse, asset recovery and family conflicts.” Sources say: “He is a very solid lawyer who is reliable and very capable technically.”
Senior Partner Mark Davis said: “Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 are well-regarded sources of information for clients and referrers. I’m delighted to see that we have built on our previous ranks and we continue to be seen as a leading firm in our specialist areas”.
