In brief - ACAS issues revised TUPE guidance

By Employment Team Thu 17 Jul, 2014

The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (Acas) has issued revised guidance for employers on how to handle transfers to which the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) apply.

This takes into account changes to the legislation introduced by the Collective Redundancies and Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and can be found at http://www.acas.org.uk/media/pdf/i/h/Handling-TUPE-Transfers-The-Acas-Guide.pdf

A more technical overview of TUPE, entitled ‘Employment Rights on the Transfer of an Undertaking’, was issued by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills in January 2014.
