Employment

Warners Employment Unit was formed to respond to the increasing need (from employers and employees) for advice and assistance in relation to employment related issues.  Its aim is to provide an efficient, pro-active and commercial solution to any employment law issues which may arise.

Are you Aware?

• That employers are legally obliged to provide employees with a comprehensive set of terms  and conditions?

• That a successful claim for unfair dismissal could mean that an employee is awarded compensation in excess of £50,000?
• That an employer could be liable to pay damages to a former employee and/or to another employer in relation to the content of a reference?

• Of an employee's rights in relation to parental leave, maternity and paternity  leave?

• Of an employer's obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995?

• Of the employment implications on the sale or purchase of a business?

• Of the statutory rules governing disciplinary and grievance procedures.

• Of the implications of the recent age discrimination legislation

Would Your Business Benefit From ...

• Professional help with the production of a policy or set of guidelines to govern the use by employees whilst at work of the e-mail and internet facilities?

• Advice on whether you are complying with the Working Time Regulations and an employee's rights to holiday, working hours and break periods?

• Assistance in handling fair dismissals and proposed redundancies?
• An employment contract that not only complies with statutory obligations but also includes provisions which strengthen the employer's position?
• Professional advice from an employment law specialist in responding to an employment related claim including representation at proceedings in the Employment Tribunal or the civil courts?
