The sale of Bri-Tal (Foods) Limited was handled by Corporate partners Mark Rosser and Kevin Sullivan.
Mark and Kevin acted for Chris Dellow and Ken Sparham in the disposal of their shares in Bri-Tal (Foods) Limited, a specialist food distribution business, to Westbridge Food Group Limited, one of the UK’s largest independent food suppliers for an undisclosed sum.
Mark commented: “There was clearly a natural synergy between the customers and products of both businesses, and this extended to the relationship between the buyer and the seller which was helpful in ensuring that the legal process worked smoothly.”
Kevin commented: “This was a large deal with a complicated structure moving forwards. This meant a very a detailed due diligence operation by Westbridge together with a thorough disclosure exercise by us. Chris and Ken will stay on at the Westbridge team with a view to growing the business for the group. Part of our job was to protect Chris and Ken during this period and, during negotiations, it seemed clear that their and Bri-tal’s joining would be a good fit for Westbridge, and indeed Chris and Ken, going forwards.”
