International Network of Business Lawyers Continues to Expand

Readers may be aware that Warners is one of the founder members of ABL, which is an international network of business lawyers. One of the main purposes of the organisation is for members to be able to refer clients who want to do business or buy property in another country to fellow members in that other jurisdiction. As we meet in conference twice a year we know the lawyers involved and the work they do, so that such referrals can be made with confidence.

The network's latest conference was held in mid June in Milan where there was a record attendance. The alliance now has 41 member firms across the globe (with 5 more presenting themselves for membership in Milan) and is represented by some 650 lawyers in over 30 countries worldwide. The five new members come from as far afield as Hong Kong, Chile, Dubai, Morocco and Canada.

ABL also has an association with a sister association of accountants which has over 100 members worldwide.
